Project Showcase

Subdivision Entry

The first of four improvement phases at a large local subdivision, this project involved building up three terraces and adding large evergreen trees with drip irrigation.

The retaining walls were constructed using an interlocking concrete block system complete with cap stones. Each wall section measure 3 feet high by 225 feet long. (That is over 700 blocks per section)

A mix of Scotch Pines and Austrian Black Pines were installed in the middle terrace and nearly 200 tons of locally available Oxrock was installed over a weed barrier fabric.

The slope of the site and the newly installed retaining walls made the use of conventional front end loaders nearly impossible for placing the rock. A high life machine with a front load bucket and an extending boom that reached 30 feet was ideal for placing the material on the terraces.

Yes, it is Winter, but if everything isn't covered in snow or ice we can still do some pruning and cleanup work.

Since this is the season of giving, why don't you consider giving yourself a break from the yard work and giving us a contract for your landscape maintenance work for 2012??
